Jamshedpur: Cows rescued from smugglers in Kapali

Jamshedpur, May 26: Three cows were rescued while one died when a pick-up van overturned near Jhopri Basti Mandir under Kapali OP area on Thursday. The van driver fled the scene before he could be arrested, police said.

Sources said the cows were being reportedly smuggled in the van. Due to high speed, the van overturned near the temple. One of the cows came under the vehicle and died at the scene. Local residents rushed to the scene and rescued three cows. They informed police about the incident and kept the cows at a nearby shelter.
