Jamshedpur Covid-19 report: 1015 new cases, 1094 recoveries, 16 deaths

Jamshedpur, May 10: After a dip in positive case for a day, the daily infections and deaths rose in the Jamshedpur on Monday, May 10, with 1015 fresh cases and 16 deaths, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.



At least 1015 fresh cases were reported while 1094 people were declared free of coronavirus infection on Monday. 

During this period, a total of 8570 Covid 
tests were conducted in Jamshedpur.


City reported 16 deaths on Monday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 42404. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Monday 16 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 846. The total active cases are 6496.

East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 304142 test per million in the district.The Kadma locality of Steel City continues to be a Covid hotspot. 

As per the records of health department  out of 8570 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 1015 were found positive.

As many as 36062 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far with 1094 recoveries recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 8500 COVID-19 tests, including 2842 RT-PCR and 5245 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.

The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 85.07 % while the mortality rate is 1.95%.

So far in Jamshedpur 817207 samples have been collected out of which 809626 have been tested and 766222 have turned out to be negative.
