City records 297 infections, 743 recoveries, 12 deaths
Jamshedpur, May 14: Jamshedpur on Saturday witnessed dip in the daily Covid-19 cases as it registered 297 fresh cases.
A day after 957 positive cases were reported, Jamshedpur recorded 297 positive cases while 743 people recovered of the virus on Saturday pushing the recovery past 40000 mark while the active cases have come below 5000 mark.
Deaths due to the virus continue to be sign of worry as 12 people succumbed due to Covid on Saturday, May 15, East Singhbhum Covid bulletin said.
During this period, a total of 7038 Covid
tests were conducted in Jamshedpur.
City reported 12 deaths on Saturday while district’s positive cases tally has mounted to 46256. According to the data provided by the East Singhbhum district health department on Saturday 12 fatalities were due to the Covid-19 infection in the last 24 hours. The death toll has climbed to 913. The total active cases have come down to 4909.
East Singhbhum district administration has conducted 314967 test per million in the district. Kadma locality of Steel City continues to be a Covid hotspot as 64 fresh infections were reported on Saturday.
As per the records of health department out of 7038 people who underwent Covid tests in East Singhbhum 297 were found positive.
As many as 40434 people have recovered from COVID-19 so far with 743 recoveries recorded in the last 24-hours. Over 7000 COVID-19 tests, including 919 RT-PCR and 5658 RAT were conducted in the last 24 hours in the city.
The recovery rate in Jamshedpur is 87.98% while the mortality rate is 1.97%.
So far in Jamshedpur 848333 amples have been collected out of which 838443 have been tested and 792187 have turned out to be negative.
