Jamshedpur, June 26: City police here busted a gang of vehicle-lifters by arresting one of its members and recovering 10 motorcycles stolen from different parts of Jamshedpur.
The accused caught by police was identified as Abhishek Singh alias Prince.
According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Anoop Birtharay, Prince was nabbed during a vehicle checking drive near TRF Gate in Telco police station area. Prince started running away on seeing police at the barrier after leaving his bike on the spot. He was soon caught and interrogated by police. He reportedly spilled the beans and told cops he was a member of a gang involved in stealing motorcycles in and around the city, said the SSP.
According to cops, the bikes were recovered from TRF gate, Barinagar, Manifit, TMH parking lot, Burmamines garage, Bistupur garage and Olidih.
The police team which recovered the stolen bikes was led by DSP City Anudip Singh.
