Jamshedpur Congress Holds Strategic Training for Party Workers

Jamshedpur: The East Singhbhum District Congress Committee recently organized a comprehensive block-level dialogue and training programme at the Sakchi Congress Camp Office. Following directives from the Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee (JPCC), the session focused on strengthening the party’s grassroots presence through BLA-2 members and mandal officials.

Strengthening the Grassroots: From History to Action

Led by Sakchi West Mandal President Ashutosh Kumar Singh and Sitaramdera Mandal President Vinod Yadav, the event served as both a historical retrospective and a strategic roadmap.

Former District President Ramasray Prasad opened the session by highlighting the Congress party’s pivotal role in India’s freedom struggle since 1885, reminding workers of the sacrifices made to build the nation’s democratic foundation.

Organizational Mandate: Committees and Connectivity

District President Parvinder Singh issued a clear call to action, emphasizing the immediate need to finalize structures at every level:

  • Block & Mandal Committees
  • Panchayat & Ward Committees
  • BLA-2 (Booth Level Agent) Formations

“Strengthening the organization through mass movements is the only way to take our party’s policies directly to the grassroots,” Singh stated during the address.

Technical Training and Booth Management

A significant portion of the day was dedicated to booth management and technical proficiency. Block Supervisor Rakesh Kumar Tiwari and trainers Pratap Yadav and Kaushal Pradhan conducted sessions on:

  • Voter Mapping: Strategies for identifying and engaging local voters.
  • Voter List Maintenance: Procedures for the addition, deletion, and correction of names.
  • Community Involvement: Encouraging BLA-2 members to maintain constant local contact.

Discipline and Unity

Senior leader Ashok Chaudhary closed the session with a briefing on organizational discipline. He urged workers to maintain a united front, participate actively in party-led movements, and work sincerely for candidates during election cycles.

The program, conducted by Sanjay Singh Azad, concluded with the National Anthem following a vote of thanks by Vinod Yadav. Numerous senior leaders, including Women’s President Nalini Sinha, and dozens of mandal officials were in attendance to pledge their support for the party’s expansion in East Singhbhum.
