Jamshedpur Collectorate, TMH and Chinmaya Vidyalaya rank first in Swachh Survey

Jamshedpur, Feb 23: Jamshedpur Collectorate, Tata Main Hospital and Vidya Bharati Chinmaya Vidyalaya (VBCV) have secured the first rank under different categories in the Swachhata Sarvekshan 2022 conducted by Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee (JNAC).

VBCV got a whopping 595 points to get first rank in schools category while Sacred Heart Convent School and Kerala Samajam Model School got 552 points each to jointly occupy second spot. Loyola School got 363 points to secure third place. Jamshedpur Collectorate got 535 points to get first place while police office got 500 points to get second place in the government offices category.

The Swachhata survey covered various city-based institutions including schools, market committees, hotels, hospitals, government offices and residents welfare association. A committee evaluated the institutions on a number of benchmarks and gave rankings to them accordingly, sources said.

The benchmarks for cleanliness survey included separate arrangement for waste segregation, clean and spotless walls and clean premises, clean toilets with separate arrangements for men and women. GST office got 395 points and got third rank. TMH got 490 points and first rank while Tata Motors Hospital, Meharbai Tata Main Hospital and Mercy Hospital respectively got 430, 430 and 365 marks.

In the hotels category, Hotel Ramada was ranked first with 3125 points while Hotel Alcor and Hotel Sonnet were jointly ranked second with each getting 2500 points. Hotel Dayal International and Hotel Bizton were jointly ranked three with each getting 2000 points.

In the markets category, Bistupur Market was ranked first with 710 points while Kadma Market and Sakchi Market were ranked second and third with 620 and 540 points respectively.

Under the residents welfare association category, Vijaya Garden secured first position with 1545 points while Shrishti Garden and Vijaya Heritage were ranked second and third with 1215 and 990 points respectively. Ashiana Garden was tied for the third position with Vijaya Heritage.
