Jamshedpur, April 26: Jamshedpur West MLA Saryu Roy has written to the Civil Surgeon of East Singhbhum, raising concerns about the need for ventilator-equipped ambulances, electricity and drinking water connections at Atal Clinics, availability of medical equipment in Mohalla Clinics, and extending clinic hours till 2 PM. Health facility representative Neeraj Singh personally handed over the letter to Civil Surgeon Sahir Pal, stressing the urgency of addressing these issues.
In response, Civil Surgeon Sahir Pal informed Neeraj Singh that although a ventilator-equipped ambulance was available, the government had yet to appoint a technical expert. Efforts were underway to fill this requirement promptly. Regarding the electricity and water connection at the Ranikudar Atal Clinic in Kadma, he said that a no-objection certificate had been obtained from JNAC, and the application for an electricity connection had been submitted to JUSCO, which would conduct an inspection soon.
Pal also stated that arrangements were being made to supply vaccines and HIV kits to all Mohalla Clinics. However, the unavailability of ENT specialists remained a challenge, and a request for their appointment would be sent to the headquarters.
He assured that all pending issues would be resolved within two weeks. Neeraj Singh, in turn, said he would inspect the situation in the field after two weeks to verify the progress. Others present during the meeting included Ashok Kumar, Sanjeev Mukherjee, Sunny Singh and Deepu Singh.
