Jamshedpur, May 3: In light of Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s recent foreign visits to boost capital investment in Jharkhand, A.K. Shrivastava, President of the Jamshedpur Citizen Forum and an entrepreneur-consultant, has raised key suggestions to ensure long-term industrial development and investor confidence in the state.

Shrivastava praised the proactive efforts of the CM and his team, remarking that “the airplane has now taken off,” and expressed hope that there would be no need to “fasten seat belts again,” implying uninterrupted momentum. However, he stressed the importance of taking entrepreneurs along on future foreign tours to represent the business community’s perspective.

He recommended that a comprehensive project report should be prepared by certified consultants, focusing on the availability of minerals, mines and raw materials in Jharkhand. “Investors need clarity before making decisions,” he stated, adding that the government must identify region-specific industrial opportunities for better use of local resources and labour.

Highlighting the Kolhan region’s potential, Shrivastava advocated for setting up industries based on herbs, flowers, fruits and steel-related goods like bicycles, tractors and agricultural tools. He also called attention to the lack of infrastructure in allotted industrial areas, which he said is causing disillusionment among entrepreneurs.

Shrivastava emphasized that along with industry, education, health, cleanliness and pollution control must see qualitative improvement. He concluded by urging the state government to organize a post-tour investment seminar in Jamshedpur under the CM’s leadership to attract more business interest from the region.
