Jamshedpur : Jamshedpur Citizen Forum has expressed grief over the death of Russi Mody, former CMD of Tata Steel.
President A K Srivastava said that Mody played a key role in undertaking and completing a major modernisation programme, and became something of an institution in the company.
He was a man with a zest for life and will always remain in the hearts of the people. While he was in TISCO I had the occasion of meeting him atleast twice in a month to get his signature on some important papers because he was the Chairman of the standing committee at AIADA.
Ofcourse the signature was been obtained through Parvej Mehta, Senior Executive of Tata Steel who was earmarked for liaison and co-ordination for development of AIADA.
The AIADA envisaged by S.K.Sinha the then Chief Minister of Bihar but virtually implemented to help of Tata Steel He has the credit of specifying an angry crowd of rioting factory workers, armed only with his strong sense of fair play.
Perhaps that’s what makes him ‘one of a kind’, as he walks among kings while never losing the common touch. Famous for his sixteen-egg omelette breakfasts, his fast cars, and his airplanes, this man is indeed one of the flashiest and most dynamic men in his field.
