Jamshedpur, Oct 7: Tarapore School hosted the first-ever CISCE Regional Boys Kho-Kho Championship on October, 6 and 7, bringing together teams from Jamshedpur, Bhagalpur and Deoghar zone.

Matches were conducted in all three categories, U-14, U-17 and U-19,
The inaugural ceremony showcased the presence of Premlata Agarwal, a well-known mountaineer, who, in her role as the Chief Guest, inspired athletes to fully embrace the principles of sportsmanship. She officially declared the sports meet open.

The championship emphasized teamwork and unity, with Tarapore School conducting a prize distribution ceremony to reward outstanding performances. Tarapore School representatives expressed gratitude to the guests, coaches, team managers and volunteers, emphasizing the power of sports to unite communities.
The hosting of the CISCE Regional Boys Kho-Kho Championship demonstrated Tarapore School’s commitment to providing quality education and promoting physical fitness and sportsmanship among students. It was a resounding success, showcasing the school’s dedication to excellence in sports.
Following are the results of the event in different age categories: Under-19 category — Jamshedpur zone emerged winners while the Bhagalpur zone secured the runner-up position.
Under-17 category, Deoghar zone stood victors while Bhagalpur zone finishing runners-up and Jamshedpur zone as the second runner-up.
Under-14 category, Bhagalpur zone claimed the championship title while the Jamshedpur zone took the runner-up spot.
Officials and selectors of Kho-Kho Federation of India played a role in the efficient conduct of the event. Twelve players in each category were selected to represent Bihar-Jharkhand region in the CISCE National Boys Kho-Kho tournament.
