Jamshedpur, Aug 17: Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce (JCC) patron Mohanlal Agrawal in an e-mail to the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum, has shared some suggestions to contain the spread of coronavirus infection that has been taking a toll in the city with infections rate showing a drastic, upward trend. Agrawal contended in his e-mail that the citizens were distressed at the spread of COVID-19 infection and as such JCC suggested that some alternate measures to check the spread be adopted to add to the high-risk job being performed by administrative officials, police, medics, health and sanitary workers. JCC vide Mohanlal Agrawal�s letter has suggested total lockdown on Saturdays and Sundays in which all industrial and business activities should be shut. Another suggestion offered to the DC was opening of businesses on alternate days or opening markets with five hour working or further still, the markets be allowed to function three continuous days a week and be closed the remaining three days.
The JCC patron stated that the business community too was risking lives to help people meet their daily requirements but were unable to meet their own daily expenses but even on the face of such consternations, JCC suggested the modes to break the chain of viral infections.
