Jamshedpur, Sept 14: Members of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce met East Singhbhum deputy commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla and demanded amendment in the Motor Vehicle Act. They handed a petition to the DC and demanded scrapping of provisions that seek to impose �exorbitant� penalty on offenders.
The outfit president Mohan Lal Agrawal said the new law had provisions that impose excessive fine on offenders. He said the people should not be made to suffer in the name of ensuring road safety and compliance with traffic laws. He further demanded that
