Jamshedpur, Aug 1: A delegation of Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce led by patrons Mohanlal Agrawal and Harvinder Singh Mantu today met SDO Dhalbhum Chandan Kumar and apprised him of the mayhem caused by irrational parking at marketplaces causing business hiccups for shopkeepers as well as customers. The JCC delegation complained that parking contractors were allowing vehicles to be parked in front of shops and other places in a manner that was hampering traders interests as also causing marketers a great deal of inconvenience. The delegation also contended that many a time shopkeepers had been seen in altercation with the parking contractors and their men. It asked the SDO to make changes in the parking norms as the parking zones marked by JNAC were incongruous to smooth movement in the market areas.
SDO Chandan Kumar listened to the issues raised by the JCC delegation and assured of investigating the matter. The JCC delegation also included Akash Shah, Ajay Gupta, Brijesh Sonekar, Dipak Sharma and others.
