Jamshedpur, July 11: A Jamshedpur Chamber of Commerce (JCC) delegation today met the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum and handed him a letter of request urging him to find ways of controlling traffic congestion prevalent on the Mango Bridge. The JCC delegation pointed out the two primary causes of the perennial traffic jam that hampers traffic movement and causes unending problem to commuters. The first cause was attributed to crossing of heavy vehicles from Bhuiandih end towards Marine Drive for which traffic on the Mango Bridge moving towards Sakchi was put on hold. The second cause was pointed to the slow work being done by JUSCO on the roundabout near the bus stand that caused slowdown of traffic movement from the Sakchi end of the bridge which ultimately led to stalling of traffic.
The delegation urged the DC to give directives to the departments concerned to find a permanent solution to the persisting traffic mayhem so prevalent on the Mango Bridge.
The JCC delegation comprised patron Mohanlal Agrawal, Harvinder Singh Mantu, secretary Akash Shah, Ramjilal Agrawal and other members.
