Jamshedpur: Camp to link Aadhar of MGNREGA workers

Jamshedpur, April 23. Following instructions of Deputy Commissioner, East Singhbhum, Vijaya Jadhav, a two-day special camp is being organized in all the panchayats under the district on April 25 and 26 to link the Aadhaar numbers with the bank accounts of MGNREGA workers who were left out. It may be noted that 100 percent wage payment of all laborers under MNREGA is to be done through ABPS. Due to non-linking of Aadhaar number with the bank account of some laborers, there was a problem in payment, in view of which the Deputy Commissioner directed to organize the camp in the coordination committee meeting.

Regarding the successful organization of the camp, a virtual meeting was held by director DRDA Saurabh Sinha with all the stake holders.

Lead district manager Bank of India Santosh Kumar, State MGNREGA MIS Nodal Office Narendra Kumar and other senior officials attended the meeting with all BDOs, Block Program Officers and Rozgar Sevaks.

Director DRDA clearly said that while making the camp a success, ensure seeding of Aadhaar from the bank account of all the left out MNREGA workers so that there is no further problem in payment of wages.
