Jamshedpur: Budget a firm step to make country self-reliant, says Union Minister Arjun Munda

Asks State Government to make better utilisation

Jamshedpur, Feb 5: Hailing Union Budget presented by the Central Government, Union Minister Arjun Munda on Saturday said that the provisions of the budget are a firm step to make self-reliant India. Addressing a press conference at his residence, the senior leader said that Jharkhand has been allotted Rs 27006.59 crore under tax devolution, while last year the amount was Rs 22010.16. The State has been allotted around Rs 35,000 crore under different schemes. The Government must utilize these funds to ensure that the people at grassroots level benefit from the schemes.  
He said that the Union Budget envisions a thrust on growth at the macroeconomic level with a focus on all-inclusive welfare at the microeconomic level. India’s economic growth rate is estimated at 9.2 percent, which is the highest among all the major economies. Under the production linked incentive scheme in 14 sectors, 60 lakh new jobs will be created. The PLI scheme has the potential to increase production by an additional Rs 30 lakh crore. In the next 25 years, entering the budget emphasises on development in four priorities: PM Gatishakti – Estimated allocation of budget from 15 thousand crores to 1 lakh crores integrated development. Cabinet has also approved financial outlay of Rs 58,399 crore for Tribal Development.
“ When we celebrate 100 years of independence 25 years from today, we will be on top as a self-reliant India. Therefore, the blueprint of the budget has been prepared keeping in mind the self-reliant economy,” Munda said.
He described the budget 2022-23 as the budget to accelerate the development work for the next 25 years. He noted that this budget will be important in making the country an advanced nation. Keeping every category in mind, the budget has been presented. He said that along with business, this budget will also boost employment. The target of constructing 25 thousand km of national highways has been kept in this budget, while it has been decided to run 400 new Vande Bharat trains across the country. To fulfill the resolve of self-reliant India, work will be done to promote small and small scale industries. Munda said that despite the Corona epidemic, many schemes have been brought in this budget to further advance the agriculture sector. Overall, this budget will give impetus to the development of the country, which will lead to all round development of the country.
