Jamshedpur boy Aryan Mishra tops Jharkhand in JEE Main 2025 with AIR 40, aims for IIT Bombay

Jamshedpur: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main 2025 – Session 2, bringing smiles and accolades to many across the nation. Among the top achievers, Jamshedpur’s Aryan Mishra has emerged as Jharkhand’s topper, securing an impressive 99.99 percentile, making him one of the state’s brightest engineering aspirants this year.

Aryan Mishra has made the state proud by securing All India Rank 40 in the JEE Main 2025, emerging as the Jharkhand topper. With an impressive score of 275 out of 300 in Paper-1 and 286 out of 300 in Paper-2, Aryan achieved a percentile of 99.999, bringing glory to both his family and his state.

A student of DAV Bistupur, Aryan has been consistent in his academic excellence. He scored 98.6% marks in matriculation and pursued JEE coaching to prepare for the highly competitive exam. Speaking about his preparation strategy, Aryan shared that he studied for 10 to 12 hours daily but ensured a proper sleep schedule of eight hours to maintain his energy and focus.

Mathematics, Aryan’s favourite subject, played a key role in his success. He scored 96 marks in the subject, while also securing 95 marks each in Physics and Chemistry. His deep interest in mathematics reflects in his future plans, as Aryan aspires to study Computer Science at IIT Bombay and eventually pursue research in the field of mathematics.

Aryan credits his parents for his success. His father, Akhilesh Mishra, works at Tata Steel, while his mother, Neetu Mishra, is a homemaker. He shared that during times of stress, talking to his mother helped him relax, and his father constantly motivated him to keep going. Their unwavering support was crucial in Aryan’s journey to success.

Despite his busy schedule, Aryan makes time to refresh his mind by watching his favourite TV show, Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. Though fond of sports, he hasn’t been able to go to the field due to his tight study schedule.

Known for his calm nature and helpful attitude, Aryan is always ready to assist his friends with their studies. His dedication, discipline, and humility have made him an inspiration for countless aspiring students across the country.

This year, 24 students across India scored a perfect 100 percentile, with Rajasthan leading the tally. A total of seven students from Rajasthan achieved the highest possible score, while Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Telangana contributed three toppers each. Delhi, Gujarat, and West Bengal had two students each, and Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh had one each securing 100 percentile.

Alongside Aryan’s exceptional performance, several other students from Jharkhand have made their mark in the national rankings: Ujjwal Aditya secured All India Rank (AIR) 390, Abhinav Kshitij attained AIR 557 and Dhruv H. Badodaria achieved AIR 951.

These results have further solidified Jharkhand’s growing presence in national-level competitive exams. Total applicants: 15,39,848, Total candidates who appeared: 14,75,103, Total 100 percentile scorers: 24, General category toppers: 21 out of 24.

Educationists and coaching institutes across Jharkhand have lauded Aryan Mishra and other achievers for their hard work and consistency. Many believe these students are now strong contenders for the upcoming JEE Advanced 2025, which will determine admission into the prestigious Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
