Jamshedpur: BJP workers celebrate as Raghubar takes oath as Governor of Odisha

Jamshedpur: In a momentous event at Raj Bhavan, Bhubaneswar, Raghubar Das was sworn in as the Governor of Odisha today. The oath-taking ceremony, administered by Acting Chief Justice Dr Justice Vidyut Ranjan Sarangi, unfolded at the New Abhishek Hall.
The Governor, taking the oath in Hindi, received warm congratulations from Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik immediately after the ceremony. The Appointment, issued by the Honorable President of India, was read out by Chief Secretary Pradeep Kumar Jena, formalizing Raghubar Das’s appointment.
Post the oath, a striking Guard of Honor was presented to the Governor by the Commissionerate Police, adding a ceremonial flair to the occasion. The event was graced by the presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, and several other political stalwarts.
Prominent figures such as Odisha Assembly Speaker Pramila Mallik, Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth, and Rajya Sabha MP Aditya Sahu joined the gathering. BJP workers, including MLA CP Singh, Biranchi Narayan, Samari Lal, Kishun Das, former MP Ajay Maru, and former MLA Gangotri Kujur, were also present, highlighting the widespread political support for the new Governor.
The ceremony drew attendees from various walks of public life, including Prakash Ram, former Mayor Asha Lakra, and Shekhar Agarwal. Members of the Council of Ministers, public representatives, secretaries of departments, and other invited dignitaries added to the significance of the occasion.
As Das assumes the responsibilities of the Governor of Odisha, the political landscape resonates with the presence of key leaders and the support of enthusiastic BJP workers.
