Jamshedpur BJP to launch ‘Seva Pakhwada’ on PM Modi’s birthday

Jamshedpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will observe Seva Pakhwada from September 17 to October 2 to mark the birthday of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Preparations for the fortnight-long campaign were discussed in a key meeting of Jamshedpur BJP district office bearers and frontal organizations, held at the party office in Sakchi under the chairmanship of Metropolitan President Sudhanshu Ojha. Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato was also present.

Ojha said the initiative reflects the party’s commitment to public service inspired by the Prime Minister’s vision. “Under Modi ji’s leadership, historic work has been done for the upliftment of the poor and marginalized. Following his ideals, BJP will hold service-oriented and social welfare programs between September 17 and October 2 every year,” he said.

The program schedule includes cleanliness drives, a Tree for Mother plantation campaign, blood donation and health camps, exhibitions on Modi’s life and achievements, Vocal for Local promotions, intellectual meets and book distributions. Sports competitions, art contests on themes like Viksit Bharat and Digital India and the Modi Vikas Marathon will also be organized. Gandhi Jayanti on October 2 will be observed with a pledge to promote khadi and indigenous goods, while tributes will be paid to Lal Bahadur Shastri.

At the meeting, Ojha urged for maximum public participation in the campaign.

Meanwhile, BJP workers felicitated MP Bidyut Mahato for receiving the prestigious Sansad Ratna Award for the fourth time. Expressing gratitude, Mahato said, “This honour is the result of the blessings of Jamshedpur’s people and the hard work of BJP workers. I dedicate this award to the people of the city.”
