Residents of Mango face water disruption problem
Jamshedpur, August 10: Several localities in Mango are facing disruption in water supply.
Localities like Sankosai Road No. 5, Kalika Nagar, Teachers Colony, Murti Line, Munda Colony, Ekta Nagar, Jaiprakash Nagar, Akhara Gali, Subhash Colony and Hayat Nagar are not getting water supply for the last six days.
Around 2000 families are affected due to non-availability of water supply.
BJP leader Vikas Singh took information about the matter from the engineers of the department, the engineers told that the valve is completely broken which cannot be repaired, so arrangements have been made to get it from Kolkata, it is likely to take four to five more days.
Vikas Singh went along with the local people and filed a case against Executive Engineer Sumit Kumar and Junior Engineer Pandit Mahato in Ulidih police station.
Vikas Singh alleged that employees working in the project, on the condition of anonymity, said that the maintenance of working equipment motor, valve, steering, panel board etc. is never done, with periodic greasing and lubrication.
Vikas Singh has requested the police in the application given in the police station that Executive Engineer Sumit Kumar and Junior Engineer Pandit Mahato have been deliberately doing the work of torturing and harassing people without water.
Harassing people deliberately and being negligent on water which is the basic amenity of daily life, is like strangling people, therefore, under section 307 of IPC, Executive Engineer and Junior Engineer of Drinking Water Sanitation Department, Jamshedpur Case should be filed against.
