Jamshedpur, Nov 17: A BJP delegation led by the party’s Mahanagar president Gunjan Yadav met SSP Dr M Tamil Vanan and handed him a memorandum demanding the immediate arrest of the culprits who attacked and grievously injured senior party leader and the state media in-charge of the ST Cell, Ram Singh Munda more than a fortnight earlier. Ram Singh Munda is still undergoing treatment at Tata Main Hospital. The BJP delegation while handing over the memorandum to the SSP expressed disappointment over the culprits not yet being booked and demanded their immediate arrest failing which the party was going to launch a massive agitation.
Gunjan Yadav expressed disappointment over the delay in police action for arresting the perpetrators of the attack on Ram Singh Munda. He said that even the BJP state leadership was angry and disappointed at the police not being able to bring to book the attackers. The BJP Mahanagar president said that they were disappointed by the police inaction especially when the attack happened 15 days earlier. He said that if the attackers were not booked forthwith, the BJp would be forced to launch an agitation. The other members of the BJP delegation that met bthe SSP on Wednesday to hand over the memorandum included BJP District Vice President Bari Murmu, Kaju Shandil, Scheduled Tribe Morcha District President Binanand Sirka, Upendra Nath Sardar, Vijay Gond, Ashutosh Das and others were present in the delegation.
