Jamshedpur, Aug 5: BJP workers and supporters celebrated the scrapping of Section 370 which gave special status to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and termed it as a historic decision taken by the Narendra Modi government. They congratulated one and all at Sakchi roundabout and other places and carried the national flag to mark the occasion. Sweets were distributed among people. Crackers were also burned by the revelers.
Participating in the event, Chief Minister�s representative Pawan Agrawal said ending Article 370 and Article 35A was a vital national issue. He said the BJP had included the issue in its election manifesto.
Senior BJP leader Chandrashekhar Mishra said Modi government had fulfilled the pledge taken in the times of Jan Sangh. Now Jammu and Kashmir and Laddakh will also become secular parts of India, he said.
