Jamshedpur, July 7: A youth was killed with a gun shot injury near Sakchi vegetable wholesale market at Tin Shed area on Wednesday afternoon. The youth has been identified as Suranjan Mishra, a BJP activist who was killed at the party office and as soon as the bullet sound was heard there was commotion and people fled from the office.Â
Sakchi police reached the spot and recovered a pistol and an empty cartridge from the spot and city SP Subhas Chandra Jatt claims that prima facie it appears that the youth had shot himself on side of his head with the pistol to kill himself but the exact reason for the suicide is yet to be ascertained.Â
Police are trying to scan CCTV footages from the nearby areas to get clues of the incident.
There are also rumours that the youth accidentally killed himself while experimenting with the pistol and there was only BJP written in the room, and police is trying to find out if the room belonged to the deceased or somebody else.Â
