Jamshedpur: Bhagwan Singh meets sports minister, highlights CGPC’s welfare projects

 

Minister invited us to Ranchi to accelerate welfare projects, says Bhagwan Singh

Jamshedpur, July 24: Sardar Bhagwan Singh, President of the Central Gurdwara Prabandhak Committee (CGPC), met Jharkhand Tourism, Sports, Art-Culture, and Youth Affairs Minister Sudivya Kumar during the opening ceremony of the Durand Cup Football Tournament at the JRD Tata Sports Complex on Thursday.

During the meeting, Bhagwan Singh briefed the minister on CGPC’s ambitious initiatives in education, health, and social welfare. He emphasized the committee’s long-standing efforts toward uplifting underprivileged communities through quality education and accessible healthcare. These include running schools, organizing health camps, and providing essential medical support to the needy.

Minister Sudivya Kumar appreciated the CGPC’s developmental work and invited the organization to Ranchi for a detailed discussion. “The minister invited us to Ranchi to speed up activities,” Bhagwan Singh said after the meeting. The minister assured full support from the Jharkhand government to help scale up such initiatives for wider social impact.

Also present on the occasion was Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi, who commended CGPC’s contributions and urged the minister to extend cooperation for their expansion. Kalindi echoed the need for such impactful social work in the state and highlighted the potential benefits of government collaboration.

Prominent members of the CGPC, including General Secretary of Mango Gurdwara Sahib Jaswant Singh Jassu, Sukhdev Singh Bittu, and Sarabjit Singh Grewal, were also part of the discussion.

The meeting marked an important step toward fostering collaboration between the state government and CGPC to strengthen grassroots efforts in education and healthcare across Jharkhand.
