Jamshedpur, Apr 21: All Jharkhand Bankers Association have issued a new rule in view of the surge in Covid cases and as per the directive banks will remain functional between 10 am and 2 pm, while earlier it used to function between 10 am and 4 pm.
The new system will be in place from April 22 till April 30. After this period the association will take a decision after reviewing the Covid scenario.
The association has also asked banks to use rotation policy for its staff and allow 50 per cent attendance but the local management has to ensure that customers do not face any problem due to reduction in work force.
The association has also asked the bank management to allow those staff who are disabled, pregnant women to work from home. The customers have also been encouraged to opt for digital transaction so that crowd at banks are restricted.
