Jamshedpur: Bank branch for every panchayat, govt schemes to be reactivated

Jamshedpur, Feb 24: DRDA Director Saurabh Sinha chaired a special DLCC meeting to discuss in detail the launch of a bank branch each in every panchayat where a six-month camp that commenced on February 15 and would continue till August 15, 2023. Among other senior district officials who participated in the meeting were DTO Dinesh Rajan, DDM NABARD Siddharth Shankar, LDM Santosh Kumar, District Agriculture Officer MK Kalindi and District Fisheries Officer Alka Panna.

 The LDM apprised members about the flagship program of DFS in course of the forthcoming six months. He informed that each Panchayat had been allotted a bank branch where financial camps were to be organized. The camps would focus on reactivation of PMJDY, PMJJBY, PMSBY, APY, PMMY and inoperative PMJDY accounts. Banners, posters and necessary SOPs, as advised by SLBC, were shared with all concerned. The LDM urged bank coordinators to liaise with the district. The pending PMEGP and PMFME projects in various bank branches were discussed in the meeting. District coordinators of all banks assured of disposing the pending applications positively by next week.
