Jamshedpur auto drivers to face fines for violating no-parking zones

Mail News Service

Jamshedpur, August 8: Auto drivers in Jamshedpur will now be fined for picking up and dropping off passengers in no-parking areas, a practice that has been causing traffic congestion at major intersections. The new enforcement measure aims to reduce traffic obstructions caused by autos illegally stopping in restricted zones.

On Wednesday evening, under the direction of SDO Parul Singh and Jamshedpur NAC Deputy Municipal Commissioner Krishna Kumar, an announcement was made through loudspeakers warning auto drivers to adhere to traffic regulations or face legal consequences. Public awareness efforts were conducted at various auto stands in Sakchi, urging drivers to use designated auto stands for passenger pick-up and drop-off.

The initiative is supported by Jamshedpur NAC, Sakchi Traffic Police, and Sakchi Police Station, and is part of a broader campaign to improve traffic management and ensure compliance with parking rules.
