Jamshedpur AJSU threatens to launch stir for road

Jamshedpur, March 8: All Jharkhand Students Union (AJSU) Party leaders here have demanded immediate repair of the main road stretching from Tata Pigments to Tatanagar Railway Station. They have also threatened to go on an indefinite agitation in case the repair work does not start within a week.

District AJSU Party president Kanhaiya Singh met the officials of Jugsalai Municipality in this connection on Tuesday and handed them a memorandum of demands. He accused the Railways and the state government of ignoring the demand for repair of the said road being raised by the local people. He said neither the Railways nor the road construction department had taken any step in this regard.

“The entire Jugsalai area is reeking due to mismanagement and the officials are only dilly-dallying the demand for better civic amenities in the area. We will not tolerate this apathetic attitude anymore and would take concrete steps to get things done in the larger public interest,” said Singh.
