Jamshedpur, Mar 18: Tension brewed at JKS College, Mango, as members of the AJSU Student Union staged a protest, surrounding the college principal. Led by District President Kameshwar Prasad, students voiced their discontent regarding the allocation of examination centers for the upcoming UG first and second semester exams scheduled to commence on March 30.
Expressing their grievances, students highlighted that while examination centers for colleges across the district had been confirmed, JKS College found itself allocated to XITE College in Gamharia, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, situated 28 kilometers away. This decision is poised to inconvenience numerous students.
Adding to their dissatisfaction, students pointed out the discrepancy in treatment compared to other colleges in the city. Despite the availability of nearby colleges, some students are being subjected to distant examination centers. Kolhan in-charge Hemant Pathak condemned the insensitivity of the controller of examinations, accusing them of jeopardizing students’ futures through arbitrary decisions.
The student union issued a warning, indicating potential agitation if the examination center allocation remains unchanged.
