Jamshedpur, April 30: A 14 year-old boy, identified as Adityapur Prasad, son of Vinod Prasad, a Baridih resident, died in a road accident near Mercy Hospital, Baridih, on Saturday.
The victim, a class VI student of AIWC Academy of Excellence School, sustained critical injuries after a speeding motorcycle rammed into his bicycle near the hospital in the morning. He was taken to MGM Hospital where he was declared brought dead, police said.
Sources said the minor was going to school when the mishap occurred. Aditya was thrown apart on the road as the biker drove at breakneck speed, sources said.
The deceased was the youngest of three children in the family of Vinod Prasad, a contract worker at Tata Steel, sources said.
