Jamshedpur administration on high alert post Ayodhya verdict

Jamshedpur, Nov 9: Kolhan administration was put on high alert after a five-judge Supreme Court bench delivered the historic verdict in Ayodhya title dispute case. Police department in the three districts of East Singhbhum, Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum were directed to take precautionary measures to avert any untoward incident.

Top administrative officials visited sensitive areas to keep watch on the situation. Leaders of various political and social organizations appealed to people to maintain peace and harmony.
In East Singhbhum, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ravi Shankar Shukla and Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Anoop Birtharay monitored the law and order situation in view of the Apex Court decision. They issued instructions to the district officials concerned and asked them to intensify patrolling around sensitive public places. Block officials also visited several places to keep a tab on the current situation. Paramilitary personnel and district police forces were deployed at different places. Senior police officials were directed to make field visits.
Similar situation was witnessed in Seraikela-Kharsawan and West Singhbhum. DC Arva Rajkamal and SP Indrajeet Mahatha visited various places in the district. Seraikela-Kharsawan police appealed to people to abstain from posting communal or provocative comments on social media.
