Jamshedpur, Aug 31: The city administered a record 29252 people with Covid vaccine in a single day on Monday. The maximum number of 22 thousand 337 people were vaccinated on 25 June, 22 thousand 491 on 23 August, 22 thousand 730 on 24 August and 25 thousand 758 people on 29 August.
Deputy Commissioner Suraj Kumar said that the district administration is making continuous efforts in this direction so that more and more people can be protected from the deadly virus.
Appealing to the people of the district, he said that people should also motivate their neighborhood to take the vaccine so that the East Singhbhum district can be made free from corona infection by achieving the target of 100 percent.
Expressing happiness over this achievement, senior in-charge vaccination cell-cum-SDM Dhalbhum, Sandeep Kumar Meena said that in the face of the challenges of COVID 19 declared a global pandemic, efforts are being made to cover maximum number of people with vaccination so that everyone is safe from corona infection. He appealed to the residents of the district to take part in the vaccination campaign and get themselves and their families vaccinated by visiting the nearest center.
A senior doctor said that awareness generated by the second wave of the pandemic, along with the exemplary work done by the health department in negating the rumors being spread about the vaccines. The health official explained that those who had already taken the first dose of vaccine and they need to travel abroad for their studies or work before the fixed date of second dose, will benefit from this drive.
The District Administration has appealed to all the residents of the district that those who have not taken the second dose of Covaxin, will ensure to take their second dose as soon as possible.
