Jamshedpur, April 19: 84-year-old Nagin Das Mandya of Sonari Adarsh Nagar, left behind a remarkable legacy as his family consented to his eyes being donated posthumously. Facilitated by the Marwari Mahila Manch (MMM), Jamshedpur, Nagin Das’ eyes were donated with the consent of his family members. The initiative, led by the MMM’s eye donation head Sushila Khirwal and Lalit Saraiwala, received support from ophthalmologist Dr. Vivek Kedia and Roshni Sanstha President Taru Gandhi along with Secretary Parvinder. This noble act, coordinated swiftly after Nagin Das’s demise, underscored the importance of organ donation in society. Marwari Mahila Manch President, Rani Agarwal, expressed condolences to the bereaved family and highlighted the profound impact of such acts, stating that they served as guiding lights and examples for society. The organization’s eye donation campaign aimed to raise awareness and encourage more individuals to pledge their eyes for donation. With increasing awareness, people are now proactively reaching out to contribute to this noble cause.
