Jamshedpur: 48-hour transit remand granted for suspected ISIS agent Shahnawaz  

Jamshedpur : In a significant joint operation, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and Jugsalai Police successfully arrested ISIS agent Shahnawaz alias Guddu on Jugsalai Gaurishankar Road. The accused was promptly presented before First Class Judicial Magistrate Narendra Kumar on Tuesday evening.
Anticipating the need for a smooth transfer of the accused to Bangalore, an application was filed on behalf of the NIA team in court seeking transit remand. The court, after due consideration, granted a 48-hour transit remand for the purpose of transporting Shahnawaz to Bangalore.
Highlighting the effectiveness of collaboration between law enforcement agencies, the NIA team, in coordination with Jugsalai Police, left for Bangalore with Shahnawaz in custody. It is noteworthy that the NIA team’s earlier arrest of Shahnawaz alias Gudd was made possible through the dedicated efforts and assistance of Jugsalai police.
