Jamshedpur,March 1:: A total of four cases have been registered in the Golmuri police station in the case of gathering, demonstration and arson over alleged religious conversion on Tinplate Dhala Road under Golmuri police station area on Sunday. .
A case has been registered against Ravi Singh Patar alias Ravi Dhangar, a resident of Tinplate Dhala Road in Golmuri police station area, on the statement of magistrate Ravi Shankar Bharti of Jamshedpur Notified Area Committee over calling more people in a room and holding a meeting and violating the Covid guideline.
The second case has also been registered on the statement of the same magistrate Ravi Shankar Bharti. The accused are Arun Singh, Amit Mishra, Chintu Singh, Shankar Rao, Appu Tiwari, Ravi Prasad Singh, Pappu Upadhyay, Manjit Singh, Jaggu Singh, Ritika Srivastava, Munna Dubey, Anand Agarwal alias Shyamsunder Mishra, residents of Agrico of Sidgora police station area. Apart from Sangeeta Pandey, Kaushik, Lale Prem Prakash of Birsanagar zone number 3, 100 unidentified people have been made accused. In the case, the magistrate has said that all the accused have been accused of illegally taking out processions, demonstrations, obstructing government work and violating Covid guideline.
A case has been registered against Ravi Singh, resident of Golmuri Nanak Indian Club Tinplate, Vishwajit Singh and others on the statement of M Sai Kumari Padmaja, a resident of Sheshnagar of Govindpur police station area. It has been said in the case that all the accused were running a campaign to get religious conversion done by luring for money.
Ravi Singh alias Ravi Dhangar, a resident of South Indian Club, Dhala Road has also lodged a case against, Manjit Singh, resident of Sidgoda Number 10 Basti, Chintu Singh, leader of Hindu religious party, Anil Mukhi, resident of Baridih Shrishti Garden and unidentified 150 people have been accused for trying hurt the religious sentiments by creating illegitimate mobs, abusing, beating, outraging the modesty and vandalizing the religious place.
Significanly police had to lathi charge to maintain law and order after several people started vandalising the spot accusing of religious conversion.
Golmuri thana OC Arbind Kumar denied of taking any one from either side into custody or detention.
Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai raised the above matter in the assembly and told that the meeting was being held without permission which led to confusion among people for religious conversion and demanded inquiry from the government into the incident.
