Jamshedpur: 3524 election duty personnel leave for polling booths

Jamshedpur, May 10: Polling parties deputed in Baharagora, Ghatsila and Potka Assembly segments departed for their respective destinations on Friday.

Before departure, the polling parties gathered at Jamshedpur Cooperative College to collect essential polling materials, EVMs/VVPATs along with their balloting and control units.

East Singhbhum Deputy Commissioner cum Returning Officer Amit Kumar and Senior Superintendent of Police Anoop Birtharay were present during the departure of polling parties.

District administration sources said there are a total of 264 polling booths in Baharagora while in Ghatsila and Potka, there are 291 and 326 polling booths respectively.

A total of 3524 polling parties departed for the three Assembly segments along with 112 sector magistrates.

There are a total of 109 clusters in the three Assembly areas, sources said.
