Jamshedpur: 106 RAF Battalion honoured as ‘Best Operational Battalion’ on CRPF Valour Day

Jamshedpur: The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) marked Valor Day with a grand ceremony in New Delhi, honouring the outstanding contributions of various Rapid Action Force (RAF) battalions.

Director General Gyanendra Pratap Singh attended the event as the chief guest and conferred the prestigious title of “Best Operational Battalion” upon the 106 RAF Battalion for its exemplary performance. The award was presented in recognition of the battalion’s consistent excellence in maintaining law and order across multiple states. Inspector General of RAF, Seema Dhundia, was also present on the occasion.

Under the leadership of Commandant Rajiv Kumar, the 106 Battalion has demonstrated remarkable operational efficiency and commitment to duty, earning national recognition.

Meanwhile, at the battalion’s campus in Sundernagar, Jamshedpur, tributes were paid to martyrs on the occasion of Valor Day. The ceremony was led by Second-in-Command Sachidanand Mishra, in the presence of Deputy Commandant Bachhan Dev Kumar, Assistant Commandants Dhanse Lachhmen and Rajiv Kumar, along with other personnel.

The observance also featured a Sainik Sammelan, cultural programs, and a traditional ‘Bada Khana,’ reflecting the spirit of unity and service. The event stood as a tribute to the courage, dedication and sacrifice of CRPF personnel.
