Jaipur Emerald traders arrested from Dhalbhumgarh

Jamshedpur/ Ghatshila, July 5: Acting on a tip off, district police arrested two Emerald (Panna) traders of Jaipur and recovered Emerald worth Rs 50,000 from their possession.

Talking to the media persons, Rural SP Shailendra Kumar Sinha said that we received covert information that some of the businessmen from Jaipur are staying at a lodge in Dhalbhumgarh.

Soon a special team was formed headed by ASP Shailendra Kumar Burnawal and conducted raid at Transit-In Lodge in Dhalbhumgarh.

Two traders of Jaipur were questioned in suspicion and it was found that duo had come to purchase Emerald stone during the illegal mining which is being carried on in the district. During inquiry Rs 50000 worth of Emerald was recovered from their possession, added SP.

He further said that the duo have been identified as Vishal Kumar Singh of Kartarpur and Fakruddin of Ramgaj Bazar in Jaipur.

Police also recovered three mobile phones, 1 cheque book, 4 ATM cards, 400 gram Emerald stone, granite stone whose market price is Rs 50,000 and two Visa Cards.

Rural SP said that police will not tolerate any illegal mining in the district at any cost.
