Jaherthan cleaned for Dashmi Puja

Jadugora: Preparations have begun for Dasham Puja at Jaherthan in Khurshi village of Domjuri panchayat in Jadugora. Local residents led by the Gram Pradhan Chaitanya Hansda cleaned the Jaherthan. Hansda said there is a tradition of performing Dashmi puja at Jaherthan at an interval of every five years. He said Marangburu is worshipped accompanied by sacrifice. Khichdi is distributed as bhog among the devotees. Invitations are given to all villagers and the entire village celebrates the occasion, he said.
