Jamshedpur, Nov 26: The Loyola School Ground resonated with the fervour of athleticism and sportsmanship as the Junior Section of Loyola School, celebrated its 75th Annual Sports Day on 26th November, 2025.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the Rector of the school, Fr Michael T Raj SJ, Principal, Fr Vinod Fernandes SJ, former Rector, Fr K M Joseph SJ, Former Principals Fr Pius Fernandes SJ and Fr Victor Misquith SJ, Treasurer, Fr Gerald D’Souza SJ, Headmaster Loyola Hindi School, Fr Francis Perumalil, Vice Principal – Senior Section, Mrs Jayanti Sheshadri and Vice Principal Junior Section Mrs Vineeta F. Ekka, Fr Cyril Tigga SJ, Fr Akhilesh SJ and members of the Executive Committee LAA.
JULO, the high-spirited mascot made its presence loud and clear and filled the ambience with zest, passion and excitement.
The Sports Day flag was unfurled, the Sports flame lit, the balloons released and the Sports Oath taken which marked the declaration of the Sports Meet open. A total of 38 athletic events were held for the students of Nursery to Std 5.
Triumphs were celebrated and champions of various competitions were duly recognized with medals and trophies for their dedication and perseverance.
The Special Prizes were won by
Rachit Rai and Kritika Munda, Best Sportspersons of Std 3
Kabir Kaushal and Rida Parween, Best Sportspersons of Std 4
Saharsh Prateek and Sasha Amber Reid, Best Sportspersons of Std 5.
The Championship of 2025 was bagged by the Jaguar House and the Runners Up Trophy was bagged by the Leopard House.
The much-awaited jamboree of Annual Sports Day drew to a close by the lowering of the flag which was then handed over to the Vice Principal Vineeta F. Ekka.
