Jagannath Behera elected president of Masters Athletics Association of East Singhbhum

AGM and Executive Committee Elections held 

Jamshedpur, September 22, 2024: Jagannath Behera, a well-known football coach, has been unanimously elected as the President of the Master Athletic Association of East Singhbhum during the association’s first Annual General Assembly meeting and Executive Committee election. The meeting was held at the Bengal Club auditorium in Sakchi.

The election was conducted by Avtar Singh, an International Master Athlete and nominated Election Officer, under the supervision of Assistant Election Observer Manik Lal Chatterjee. The Executive Committee for the financial year 2024 to 2028 was elected, with the event attended by Master athletes and various dignitaries. The chief guest, former Deputy Development Commissioner of East Singhbhum, B Maheshwari, and special guest, Sanjay Singh, Vice President of Tata Workers Union and Chairman of Tata Steel Sports Advisory Committee, were honored during the event.

The newly formed Executive Members include Khushboo Kumari, Hemlata Sharan, Ajay Mahanti, Ramesh Kumar Pandey, Sapan Kumar Sao, Digambar Mishra, Virendra Mishra, Vimlesh Upadhyay, Saadan Hussain, Shubham Yadav, Vikas Gupta, and Radheshyam Singh.

The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by Dr. Vijay Mohan Singh. The program was coordinated by Shyam Kumar Sharma.
