Jamshedpur, August 2 : J.H. Tarapore School organized Convergence 2015- a two day fun filled workshop on 31st July and 1st August.
The program concluded on the eve of ‘Friendship Day’ which falls on the first Sunday of August. These two days were full of interaction, fun learning and excitement were children mingle each other and work as a team.
The students of class 5 from 11 schools of Jamshedpur participated in this non-competitive workshop. The chief guest Sr. Marie Eugene, Scared Heart Convent School inaugurated the function. After the inauguration ceremony various interesting sessions were conducted.
The first session was ‘Making Friends’ where the students were put in different groups. In the next session ‘Scientifica’ in which the students came to know about the different facts of science through small experimental tricks.
The next session was ‘Fun-tastic Five’ where the students sizzled their minds with some interesting puzzles. On day two of ‘Convergence-2015′ Aerobic session was held were the children swayed to music.
In the next session “Globetisement’ the students will enact to advertise certain products. The next session ‘Magic with Colours’, the students sued their imagination to produce some masterpieces.
Students were also taught to make lanterns as this year is the International Year of Light. The two-day workshop ended with Prize distribution ceremony.
” The annual event concluded successfully and we hope to organized it in grand way the next year.This is a non- competitive festival but we do have a prize distribution ceremony because it does not go to a particular school but to teams,” said Lata Sharat, principal of J.H. Tarapore School.
The prizes were given out by the Chief Guest Mr & Mrs BD Bodhanwala to groups and not to any particular school thus spreading the message of love, friendship and togetherness.
