Jamshedpur, July 8: Immediate Past President of Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Shweta Chand bagged the best president award at the Udghosh programme held in Patna recently. The club also won 21 awards for the excellent work done during the tenure 2018-19.
Ecstatic over the performance of the club during the last one year, Shweta Chand said, ‘Various units of the club performed brilliantly in the last one year and it is the hard work put in by the members that has borne fruits’.
Other individual awards won by the club include best CGR- Pasam Adesara, best CLCC-Pasam Adesara, best treasurer- Dr Manju Rani Singh, outstanding ISO- Sarika Singh, outstanding editor- Archana Shekhar.
Club awards won by Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur includes- Outstanding club award, Super star club: Teachers training, Star Club: Adult Literacy, best publication, Star Club: Happy School and best district chairman visit.
Club Appreciation Awards won are-Publicizing Inner Wheel, Story of A Saree, Road Safety Awareness, Well maintained Park, Well maintained travellers shed, outstanding e-Rickshaw and Thela project, Eight Sanitary Pad Vending Machine, two Wheel chairs and Bottle Shredder Machine, River cleaning project and Hoisting Nav-Vihan.
Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur for new tenure 2019-20 also took charge.
Dr. Rita Jha took charge as district treasurer. Alokananda Bakshi has been appointed district editor while Dr. Manju Rani Singh was sworn in as the president of the club.
