Jamshedpur, July 8: Seraikela-Kharsawan district administration launched a shramdan drive under Jal Shakti Abhiyan for water conservation in all Panchayats of the district. Deputy Commissioner A Dodde and SP Karthik S jointly launched the drive through shramdaan.
Addressing a gathering on this occasion, Dodde said conserving water was important for everyone as failing to do so will lead to its loss to the seas and oceans from where it is difficult to bring it back for human use. All individuals should make efforts to conserve water through rainwater harvesting, he said.
The DC informed villagers about various methods of water conservation.
Other dignitaries present on the occasion included DDC Suresh Kumar Dudani, ITDA Project Director Arun Walter Sanga, DTO Anup Kishore Sharan, Supply Officer Priyanka Singh, Panchayati Raj Office Pramod Kumar Jha adn SDO Chandil Vinay Kumar Mishra.
