IWC Jamshedpur Zest dedicates its first sanitary pad vending machine

Jamshedpur, May 2: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur Zest dedicated its first sanitary pad vending machine at Arka Jain College, Ghamaria. The vending machine was sponsored by the club. On the occasion, a seminar on menstrual hygiene and preventive measures was organised for the girls of the college. The chief guest for the event was Aruna Taneja.

President of IWC Zest Navneet Kaur highlighted the importance of menstrual hygiene, it’s preventive measures and how to dispose the napkins. She added that the initiative taken by IWC Zest is to improve the reproductive health of girls and women by increasing the accessibility, acceptability and affordability of the sanitary napkins and other protection materials for menstrual hygiene.

�Nowadays pads have replaced the clothes, for good hygiene and infection free periods even in remote areas,� noted another member.

Dignatories present for the inauguration were IWC members PreetiKhara, Sonam Goyal, Nikita Mehta, Arka Jain college Vice chancellor Dr. S Razi, Amit management head Jain college, and Smita from Red FM.
