Jamshedpur, April 28: The Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East extended a helping hand to visually impaired students of Divya Jyoti Neethreen Vidyalay, Shastri Nagar, Kadma, through a meaningful donation drive.
In the presence of District Chairman Aloknanda Bakshi, the club donated an inverter and battery to address the frequent power cuts affecting the students’ online learning. The club also provided two laptops, a ceiling fan, a large carpet, sunglasses, Braille writing paper, and storybooks, as requested by the school’s principal, Reema Bhattacharya.
The school houses 22 underprivileged visually impaired students, many of whom are excelling academically and preparing for competitive exams, including the Civil Services. The donated items aim to support their educational journey and improve their learning environment.
District Chairman Bakshi inaugurated the installed inverter and personally handed over the donated items to the students. The heartfelt gratitude expressed by the children deeply moved all present.
Bhattacharya extended a warm vote of thanks, while Bakshi delivered an inspiring speech to the students. Snacks and cold drinks were distributed among the children and attendees, marking the end of a fulfilling event.
The Inner Wheel Club expressed sincere appreciation to all its members for supporting this noble initiative.
