Jamshedpur, Aug 29: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East and UFHE NGO (Evening School) on the occasion of National Sports Day jointly organised various sporting events for underprivileged kids at Birsanagar Sanchu Koya Football Stadium on Monday.
70 children participated in three categories. The program was successfully conducted under the supervision of Meena Mukherjee, a member of the club. Club ISO Sanchita, Rama Khanna, Manjari Bhattacharya and school teachers Nikhil Mandal and K Ravi contributed in making the event successful.
Chocolates were distributed among all children. Winners were awarded by Club ISO Sanchita.
National Sports Day is celebrated on 29 August to commemorate the birth anniversary of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand. The day is also dedicated to the sports heroes and champions of the nations, who honor their contribution and dedication towards making the country proud.
