IWC Jamshedpur East organises awareness prog at Tinplate Girls College

Jamshedpur, March 11: Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East marked International Women’s Day by organizing an awareness program at Tinplate Union Girls College. The event focused on educating young girls about various government schemes offered by the Department of Posts, with a special emphasis on financial empowerment. Anamika, the lady postmaster of Golmuri post office, led the session along with her co-employees, providing comprehensive insights into the savings and deposit schemes available through the postal department.

The program also highlighted women empowerment, featuring engaging talks by PP Rama Khanna and Senior Member Manjari Bhattacharya. They addressed the ways in which women can enhance their lives through financial independence, emphasizing their crucial roles in both family and society.

A question-and-answer session on the theme of “International Women’s Day” was organized with enthusiastic participation from young college girls. To encourage their engagement, chocolates were distributed for every correct answer

As part of their commitment to women’s well-being, the Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East distributed sanitary pads among the students, contributing to menstrual hygiene awareness.

The club expressed gratitude to Kamini Gupta, the college principal, and all the teachers for their valuable cooperation in making the event a success. This initiative reflects the club’s dedication to empowering women and fostering awareness about government schemes for the betterment of the community.
