Jamshedpur, January 10: The Inner Wheel Club of Jamshedpur East celebrated International Inner Wheel Day on Friday with awareness initiatives and a small ceremony. As part of the celebrations, a wall painting featuring the Inner Wheel logo and name was inaugurated near the petrol pump at Sidhgora by past president Ira Bandhopadhya.
The wall painting highlights the harmful effects of cigarette smoking and tobacco consumption through impactful images and slogans. Another painting was created to spread awareness about cervical cancer and to promote the importance of cervical cancer vaccination among women. The initiative aimed to increase public awareness while also strengthening the visibility of Inner Wheel’s social activities.
Following the inauguration, members gathered at Golmuri Club, where a cake-cutting ceremony was held to mark the occasion. Club President Dr Meena Mukherji, along with other members, was present during the celebrations.
The club stated that such initiatives reflect its continued commitment to social awareness, public health and community welfare.
