ISQ Conference: Gulmohur High School Jamshedpur leads the way in quality education, digital innovation

Jamshedpur, Dec 3: Gulmohur High School, a pioneer in education and a trailblazer in digital innovation, took center stage at the prestigious ISQ Annual Conference 2023 held in Jamshedpur. The conference, hosted by the ISQ Jamshedpur Chapter, served as a testament to the school’s commitment to quality education, digital transformation, and collaborative excellence.Founded in 1954 as the first English-medium school in the Telco colony, Gulmohur High School embarked on a transformative journey aligned with the Tata Education Excellence Programme (TEEP). At the conference, Principal Priti Sinha showcased the school’s remarkable evolution, highlighting key milestones and initiatives that have positioned Gulmohur as a leader in educational advancement.The school’s transformative journey, initiated in 2005 through a visioning workshop under TEEP, saw Gulmohur redefining its Vision, Mission, and Values three times. The alignment with the National Education Policy 2020 reinforced the school’s commitment to contemporary educational standards. School  applied for Dr. JJ Irani Award for Excellence in Education in 2005.

Gulmohur implemented the School Planning and Progress Chart (SPPC), a pivotal tool for strategic planning that provides comprehensive insights to the School Managing Committee. Prioritizing collaboration with students, parents, alumni, and vendors, Gulmohur’s emphasis on stakeholder engagement was exemplified by digital complaint submissions. This approach showcased the school’s dedication to satisfaction, particularly during the challenges posed by the pandemic. Seamlessly transitioning to online platforms, Gulmohur embraced technological innovation for complaint submissions, alumni engagement, and career platforms, showcasing its adaptability and commitment to progress.

 Leveraging digital tools and a robust performance evaluation system, Gulmohur underscored its commitment to the growth of educators, ensuring a high standard of teaching. Actively participating in collaborative initiatives and sharing best practices earned Gulmohur accolades such as the Good Practices Award in 2018, reflecting the school’s commitment to collective growth. Collaborating with TEEP, Tata Steel Foundation, and Tata Motors, Gulmohur organized a Career Expo, showcasing technological innovations in classrooms and fostering an immersive and connected learning environment. Gulmohur High School’s dedication to quality education has been acknowledged through numerous awards under TEEP, solidifying its reputation as a forward-thinking institution. Principal Priti Sinha, in her enlightening address, emphasized the meticulous guidance and support from assessors that empowered the school to enhance crucial aspects of Leadership, Planning, Stakeholder focus, Staff development, and operational facets.
